Volunteer Transportation Center, Inc. (VTC) provides non-emergent medical transportation. Simply put–for over 24 years this non-profit organization has provided essential rides to health care appointments, food sources, and other health related destinations for North Country residents who have no other transportation alternatives.

Who is eligible?

Individuals who have no other means of  transportation to medical appointments and food sources, including food pantries and grocery stores, are eligible for volunteer transportation.

Those who are eligible include:

  • Senior Citizens (over the age of 60 years)
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Visually impaired
  • Anyone without access to medical transportation

For neighbors in Jefferson County only, wheelchair accessible transportation is available.

 Is there a cost?

There is no cost to you for your non-emergent medical transportation. However, transportation is expensive, any donations are appreciated.
