During these unprecedent times, the staff and volunteer drivers of the Volunteer Transportation Center, Inc. are still committed to our mission of providing transportation to health, wellness and critical needs destinations for anyone who has barriers to transportation.
Due to restrictions put in place to slow the spread of COVID-19, however, we are currently only providing transportation to life-sustaining appointments.
In order for us to carry out our mission, we need YOUR support! Click the link above to donate to the VTC or visit: https://bit.ly/Donate-to-the-VTC. Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, we appreciate donations of ANY size.
Every dollar we receive can provide TWO miles of transportation, which can make a huge impact.

ABOUT THE VTC
The Volunteer Transportation Center, Inc. (VTC), established in 1993, drives millions of miles each year assisting community members in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties. Over the last 24 years, this non-profit organization has provided essential rides to health care appointments, food sources, and other health related destinations for residents. Through the generosity of the community and many partnerships across NNY, volunteer drivers provide over 5 million miles annually. The staff, Board of Directors and volunteer drivers look forward to a time when transportation to community activities and services is accessible to all North Country residents—regardless of economic or special needs.
You would be impressed with the dedication and caring of the 225 volunteer drivers who transport clients. This is truly “neighbors helping neighbors.” Having access to critical needs transportation is often the difference between a person’s ability to remain healthy and live independently at home versus being placed in a healthcare facility—that is how your donation can make a difference.
